Maria Venuti was a great performer before she was a supercelebrity; and she's still a great performer, both on stage and off. She sings everything from jazz standards to variety classics, show tunes and showstoppers. Her numerous live and tv gigs are almost outnumbered by the vast range of charity appearances she makes each year. She has also appeared in stage plays (most memorably in Women Behind Bars, Valentine's Day and Lend Me A Tenor) and had supporting roles in the Australian films Gino and Fistful of Flies
